6:30 pm: Al-Anon
– October 29, 2024
Welcome to Space Coast Al-anon, we're so happy you found us.
Al-Anon has been offering hope and help to families and friends of alcoholics since 1951 and was born out of Alcoholics Anonymous. Alcoholism is truly a family disease. It is estimated that each alcoholic affects the lives of at least four other people. No matter your relationship with an alcoholic, whether they are drinking or not, it is possible to find solutions that lead to serenity in the Al-Anon/Alateen fellowship.

Reasons To Believe (RTB) is a ministry whose mission is to spread the Christian
Gospel by demonstrating that sound reason and scientific research—including the
very latest discoveries—consistently support, rather than erode, confidence in the
truth of the Bible. The Melbourne RTB chapter meets at Presbyterian Church of the Good Shepherd on the
second Tuesday of each month from 7 - 8:30PM in the Session Room. Please park and enter on the west side of
the building. We also use Zoom video conferencing if you cannot physically attend. Our monthly meetings include a
video and lively discussions. Come join us for our next meeting—you’ll go home energized and thinking. For more
info, contact the RTB Melbourne Chapter at email address rtb.melbourne.fl@gmail.com
Blood Drive on September 25: Our next blood drive is on Sunday, September 25 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Our
goal is at least 10 donations. In July we only had six donations. We will also have a blood drive on
December 11th. Please note that there have been changes in who may donate blood. If you have been told in
the past that
Adult Ministry Team is anxiously waiting for this fall. We will be having a meeting in June to set up some
tentative dates for the fall activities. We will still be watching the conditions but feel with spacing indoors and
outdoor activities we will be able to get back to learning and fun!! Some ideas that have been mentioned are
outdoor lunch at restaurants, Indian River Boat Ride, and the Zoo.
If you have any suggestions for Fall 2021 or if you would like to volunteer to be on this committee please let
me know. We have missed you all, but have had the pleasure of talking to or seeing you at Church recently.
Blessings,
Diane Lowry and the Adult Ministry Committee
