June 6, 2021Father’s Day Donations for Operation Hope: We are hosting our annual Father’s Day collection for
Operation Hope up until June 20. Usually we donate fans, which are so welcome for the many homes
without air conditioning or good ventilation. This year we are adding a request for small hand tools, such as
screwdrivers or pliers. Please place any the donated fans and/or tools in the hallway near the office. As
always, financial donations are always welcome and we will use it to purchase items, but please be sure to

blood drive from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m.
We are so excited that Good Shepherd will be hosting a blood drive on-site. It will be on a Sunday and we hope this will make it convenient for our members and neighbors to donate. As you may know, there is a blood supply crisis and you can help. The reason to donate is simple…it helps save lives. In fact, every two seconds of every day, someone needs blood. We’re encouraging everyone who can to sign up for an appointment to donate and to ask your friends and neighbors to donate as well. Adult Ministry Team is anxiously waiting for this fall. We will be having a meeting in June to set up some
tentative dates for the fall activities. We will still be watching the conditions but feel with spacing indoors and
outdoor activities we will be able to get back to learning and fun!! Some ideas that have been mentioned are
outdoor lunch at restaurants, Indian River Boat Ride, and the Zoo.
If you have any suggestions for Fall 2021 or if you would like to volunteer to be on this committee please let
me know. We have missed you all, but have had the pleasure of talking to or seeing you at Church recently.
