Covid 19 put a halt to our hosting many of this teams “outreach” efforts. The vision of this team is to offer the community at large, our neighborhood, and our own membership opportunities to get to know each other. Having a more flexible Sunday worship service, one earlier in the morning, more casual dress, communion offered every Sunday, coffee and refreshments in a more casual setting in Fellowship Hall was instituted to, perhaps, meet the needs of an ever changing demographic in our community. Pastor Scott also holds new members’ classes providing a light lunch offering in a casual and relaxing environment for those attending. One of the big events of the year would be the church-wide breakfast and the performance by ReCreation. The Special Gathering, another blessing, could not be held this past year due to Covid. This team took on the responsibility of organizing a connecting group to keep in touch with our members during these trying times. Memorial services are also planned by this team. They believe there is nothing more important that we can do for the church family than being there to support those individuals during this time of sorrow. This team includes many who are willing to cook and bake for the special dinners/meals. Once Covid has been managed and is under control, many of the activities will resume.
